This tent is an
awesome backpacking tent, it is lightweight at just under 3kg, so
ideal for the rucksack or perfect for camping in windy conditions.
The site we used this tent on was very windy, and it was easy to put
it, two poles into each corner and then a supporting pole and the
peg it out. It is as simple as that. The space inside is a good size
with enough room for two people, the air mattresses and your
rucksack. It is a light colour and gives a roomy feel.
What got me the most was how well this tent held up in the winds,
you can see this in the video below. The trees was all over the pace
with the wind and the tent barely moved in the wind. It was even
better when we got inside, there was a small amount of flapping, but
that was maybe just me not tightening up the guys enough, however
the tent was not affected by the wind at all. It help well, it stood
its ground and is the perfect companion for when up a mountain or a
very windy site on a coastal walk.
I would strongly recommend this tent to anyone looking to do the
same.

Details
The two-person Merlin is a two-porch/door single hoop tent that
pitches outer first or together. It has an apex cross pole to extend
the headroom into the porch areas. The use of a hub each side to
connect two lower poles with the main hoop increases inner tent
space and helps create vent protection. The tent features the storm
guard system and single rop pegging points provide easy adjustment.
